Aan tafel op straat At the table on the street
On Saturday 21 of January, 2012 the whole neighbourhood of the van der Pekbuurt in Amsterdam was invited to a dinner party on the street. The dinner was composed by several contributions by the neighbours and small local entrepreneurs (recipes, bbq, cooking skills, mobile coffee machine, furniture, cutlery, etc.)
I asked every guest to bring an object from their own home. With all these objects we transformed the street into a dining room.
“Aan tafel op straat” is a project that blurs the limits between private and public space.
